Dessert Time

The best part of any holiday is dessert time. I couldn't wait to show off my Cake Pop Display; I knew my Auntie Janine would be in heaven with her chocolate cowvered Peeps ESPECIALLY because I left them unwrapped for two days. She likes them a little stale. While my presentation was moovelous, I could tell that someone had hit the cake pops before dessert -- we were missing quite a few; always a good sign!!! My Aunt Janine made me a special cake that looked like a Sandwich. It was so big that I could have slept on it but when I took the first bite, I squealed with joy -- it was stuffed with Nutella!!! Scrumdelish!!! We were only 10 people but we had an embarrassment of desserts -- cookies, cowcakes, pineapple, peeps ... oh my!

Easter Sunday

I started Easter Sunday by watching Easter Parade, as every young girl should. It is one of my favorite moovies. I love to play dress up and on Easter Sunday I get to wear a Bonnet AND a pretty dress. Hello? HI! What more could a bovine ask for? I brought appetizers to our family gathering -- I made something new that I hoped my Nannie would love: Dried Apricots with Blue Cheese, Candied Walnuts and Rosemary. I won't lie -- they were a huge hit. I have never had a dried apricot before but my flavors definitely worked well together. My Uncy Rob at six of them so I know that they were scrumdelish!!!

Saturday

Snackage by Moo: Cake Pops!

As delicious as my cowcakes are, everyone expects me to make them for holiday meals. I knew that I had to pull out all of the stops to impress my Uncy Rob for Easter. And I knew that only one thing could do that -- Cake Pops!!! I have becowme cowpletely obsessed with the thought of a bite-size piece of cake on a lollipop stick. But outside of Starbucks, I have never seen them. I knew if I busted my hooves, I could whip up something scrumdelish. I made pistachio and red velvet cakes and made little cake balls shaped like eggs. Once they were set in the fridge, I melted chocolate and dipped each cake so it would look like an Easter Egg. Then I spent hours decowrating them. I won't lie -- I'm going to sleep like a little sheep tonight. I wanted to make sure that my presentation was moorific so I dipped Peeps in chocolate to put around the base of my display. I know everyone is going to be super impressed tomorrow! MOORAY!!!

Easter Snackage

Tomorrow is Easter Sunday. We are going to my Uncle Rob's house. I'm super excited -- I get to wear a pretty dress, an Easter bonnet AND eat yummy snackage. Uncy Rob is a five-star chef. My spots were glowing when he asked me to make snackage -- both appetizers and desserts. It has been two weeks since my cowsins tried my Dark Chocolate Stuffed Cowcakes and I knew that I had made quite a few improvements since their first tasting. In honor of Easter I used different colored swirls to make the tray look moolicious. Knock wood -- I think they will be a hit!

Tuesday

2nd Night o'Passover

For the second night of Passover, I was asked to bring snackage. I love to make a cowtribution and there is nothing more loving than making food for your friends and family. Passover is about having sweet treats so I made a fruit platter for all of the skinny cows who are watching their figures that was accowpanied by a Marshmallow & Cream Cheese Dip and a Chocolate Cream Cheese Dip. I thought it would be a nice change from cowcakes -- and you cant eat bread of Passover so it would have been a cowtastrophe to bring a tray of cowcakes! I also made Chocolate covered Matzoh because I thought my cowsins would really enjoy it! I was right -- they loved the Matzoh sticks. As a goof, I brought them in my Christmas tin. I thought it would make everyone laugh -- and it did!!!

Monday

Passover Dinner

Tonight is the first night of Passover and I am spending it at my Cowsin Heather's house. She is the mooma for my cowsin Jack. Passover is a big family night. We eat a lot of bitter herbs and Matzoh instead of regular bread. We also read from the Haggadah before dinner. Once we read 20 pages, we get to have Matzoh Ball Soup and I am a happy little cow. I am the youngest child at the table so I get to read the questions about what makes tonight different than all of the other nights. It makes me a little nervous to read outloud but I took my time to make certain that I didn't skip any words.

Friday

Snackage by Moo: Dark Chocolate Cowcakes with Marshmallow Stuffing

My snackage business has been thriving. I looove filling orders. The biggest challenge is to keep coming up with new flavors and options to offer. Today I worked on a new cowcake that I think it quite scrumdelish. Everyone always says that Hostess Cupcakes are delish; I thought I would bust my hooves and see if I could make the same flavors in a fresh cowcake. My cowsins DeeDee and Jessie are coming over today and I thought they would be perfect taste testers. I made my own Mooshmallow Creme and topped half of the cowcakes with it; I dipped the other half in ganache made a swirlie line on them. Just like Hostess! I asked my cowsins twice what they thought of them ... but they were too busy stuffing their pieholes. Verdict -- a new cowcake for my Snackage menu!!!

Tuesday

Snackage by Moo -- Holiday Cowcakes

Today I had a dinner party with my Auntie T. She has a sweet tooth and I wanted to present pretty Fall Snackage. I made Vanilla & Chocolate cowcakes for my centerpiece-- how could you go wrong? i also bought my favorite sugar cookies at the bakery for the center of my presentation. Simply mooorific. I love the way they melt in my snout!

Wednesday

Snackage by Moo: Pineapple Right Side Up Cakes!

Tonight we are having dinner at my Aunt Janine's house. I'm so excited. She is a moovelous cook and I know we will be treated to some yummy snackage. I am looking forward to her Broccoli Cream Soup; it is so warm and tasty in my snout. I won't lie -- I packed a take-away container so I can have some for lunch tomoorrow! It isn't a party without dessert, so I decided to test out a new cowcake recipe -- Pineapple Cowlada Right Side Up Cakes. I bruleed the pineapple for garnish and made a yogurt frosting. I hope that she likes them!

Thursday

Snackage by Moo: Braised Chicken Breast with Basel Chips and Roasted Garlic

Tonight it was my job to come up with a yummy chicken dinner. I had to give it some thought -- we eat chicken a lot so it wasn't an easy job. I stuffed the chicken with mozeralla, basel and prosciutto. I decided to use my special balsamic glaze to simmer the chicken in. After I sauteed it in basel garlic oil, of course!

Sunday

Birthday Bites!

Today is my cowsin's birthday. I made her a special box of Red Velvet Bites. They are one of my specialties and one of her favorites! There is nothing better than making snackage for people who truly appreciate a yummy bite. I made an extra dish of Cinnamon Delites and Vanilla Bean Yum for my keeper Handsome Harry. He will never admit it, but I know he loves it when I bake cowcakes!!!

Thursday

Snackage by Moo: Prosciutto Wrapped Melon!

Today my cowpal Luna came over and Lara Lobster was planning to do a drive by. It was a day of Ls for sure! I wanted to prepare a light snackage that both girls could enjoy. The answer became clear as soon arrived ... with a pound of lovely Italian Prosciutto from EATALY in the City. I was very excited; I have read alot about EATALY but haven't been there yet. I won't lie -- the meat was lean and melted in my snout. The melon was super sweet ... on a scale of 1-4: 3 hoofs of yumminess! Scrumdelish!!!

Monday

Today I'm going to see my cowpals in New Jersey. I decided to bring some cowcakes from my Snackage business because you should never go any place with empty hooves; everyone loves a sweet treat; it would help promote my cowcake business! Did I mention that everyone loves a sweet treat??? I just invested in the plastic trays for packaging and I think it makes a huge difference for deliveries. Each cowcake has a home. I hope that everyone likes what I baked!!!

Saturday

Snackage by Moo: Jumbo Donut Cowcakes!

One of my favorite things to bake is the Jumbo Donut Cowcake. I love the shape and think that the decowrations always come out moovelously! So far I have made a Red Velvet Version, a Vanilla and Chocolate Frosted version, a Caramel and Espresso Creme (pictured), a Coffee Hazelnute Latte with Chocolate frosting and a Double Chocolate Dipped in Chocolate (pictured). What could be better than a jumbo bite?

Tuesday

My Green Hoof!

My tomatos may be tiny, but my greens are flourishing! Between the rainbow swiss chard and the basel, I will be able to make plenty o' snackage. The biggest surprise this year is the amazing yield from the cucumber plant. Every day there are a few cucumbers for me to pull! Today I am going to make a basel dressing for the cucumber salad. scrumdelish!!!

Saturday

Snackage by Moo -- Mini tomootos!

It saddens me to say that garden hasn't yielded many tomatoes this year. Two years ago we had a bounty. So far I have had 20 little lemon boy grape tomatoes. Tonight I sauteed them in balsamic and put them over fresh greens from my garden and moozeralla. I also roasted garlic for my fresh dressing. DELISH!

Friday

Snackage by Moo: Spinach & Artichoke Dip

Today Polly Pig and Lara Lobster are both coming over to play. I'm so excited. But it means that I have to be very careful about my snackage selections. I decided today to make a Spinach & Artichoke Dip with light cream cheese and a some light goat cheese that is whipped like cream cheese. I learned about it on Modern Marvels. Fascinating. I made up a platter for our date, but couldn't help but enjoy a little nosh!

Tuesday

Snackage by Moo: Cinnamon & Nutella Bites

Today it was my responsibility to make a fun-filled breakfast snack! I made one of my favorites that I made once-upon-a-time in the Vineyard! I made cinnamon donut bites that i glaze with a cream-cheese and nutella mix. I put some chopped walnuts on top for garnish. I baked it for 20 minutes and the entire house smelled yummy. I bet our guests will enjoy!

Wednesday

Snackage by Moo: Caprese Salad

One of my favorite snacks is a Caprese Salad. I love fresh mozzeralla cheese with baby tomatos and fresh basel. I haven't had a lot of tomatoes but I was able to buy some fresh from the local market. At least my sweet banana peppers are blooming. I am going to cook those later in olive oil and garlic and serve on a yummy bread. But for now, I'm making lunch that is yummy and protein stocked. My vingarette is going to yummy with warm Italian bread!

Sunday

Snackage by Moo: Sunday Brunch

The most delicious way to start off a Sunday is with a yummy brunch. Today we had a special snackage situation because Simone slept over. Homemade Hollandaise Sauce with 2 poached eggs, lox, English toasted and homemade hashbrowns. I used my holiday mug because it is Christmas in July all day on QVC. If I bulk up on protein, I think I can have a moorific product epiphany so I can be on QVC CIJ next year!!!
